It’s still early days for the PWHL season but already we are seeing some impressive talent emerging. The Rookies are hitting the ice with a bang and our veterans are upping their game from last season. So, lets take a look at the players with the most points so far this season
Sarah Fillier, 5
Fillier being number 1 on the leaderboard won’t come as a shock to most. Fillier, as the number 1 draft pick, is already predicted as the top contender for Rookie of the Year for this season. Fillier is currently sitting at the top of the leaderboard with 5 points. Fillier has scored her first 2 PWHL goals and we are excited to see this number increase.
Alex Carpenter, 4
Alex Carpenter has an already impressive resume and is one of the more experienced players, playing professionally since 2015. Gaining 23 points last season, her already 4 points are sure to match if not surpass that this season.
Jessie Eldridge, 4
As Eldridge takes the number 3 spot, the Sirens players seem to be dominating this list. It’s clear that Eldridge will add to her long list of accolades this season also.
Sarah Nurse 3
As one of the most well-known players in the PWHL, it is also no surprise to see her at the top of the points chart. Nurse scored the first goal for Toronto this season in their game last Saturday. We’re sure both her points and number of goals scored will only increase.
Tereza Vanisova, 3
After a successful first season, it’ll be exciting to see her Vanisova climb that points leaderboard this year.
Week 1 has been a huge success and with the PWHL tour coming soon, this season will undoubtedly top season 1. There’s still plenty of time to head over to officepools.com and create your PWHL Fantasy Box Pool. And if you want some help in creating your pool, read our top fantasy picks article here.
