AFC East
(2) Buffalo Bills (13-4) – Josh Allen’s Bills open with six straight games vs. 2024 non-playoff teams, four at home. The schedule screams “fast start” and another division crown.
New England Patriots (8-9) – Mike Vrabel’s back in Foxborough, and the midseason stretch is playoff-friendly. Could double last year’s wins and become a wild card threat.
New York Jets (7-10) – Aaron Glenn inherits talent, but the early schedule is brutal. If Justin Fields finds chemistry late, they could play spoiler.
Miami Dolphins (5-12) – Mike McDaniel’s seat is hot, and a cold-weather northern December gauntlet looms. The Fins better learn to win in the cold.
AFC North
(1) Baltimore Ravens (14-3) – Lamar Jackson + deeper secondary = Super Bowl threat. Soft midseason schedule keeps them fresh for a playoff run.
(6) Pittsburgh Steelers (11-6) – Aaron Rodgers in black and gold starts soft, but December is punishing. Still enough to end playoff-win drought.
(7) Cincinnati Bengals (9-8) – Burrow starts slow (again), but midseason home-heavy stretch could keep them alive.
Cleveland Browns (3-14) – QB battle won’t fix bigger holes. Already looking toward the 2026 draft.
AFC South
(4) Houston Texans (10-7) – Early bumps expected, but the weakest division gives them the edge late.
Jacksonville Jaguars (8-9) – Rookie coach Liam Coen could unlock Trevor Lawrence. Soft finish offers upset potential.
Tennessee Titans (5-12) – No. 1 pick Cam Ward starts rough, but the post-bye home stretch could be interesting.
Indianapolis Colts (4-13) – Brutal schedule, unsettled QB. Recipe for pain.
AFC West
(3) Denver Broncos (12-5) – Bo Nix & Sean Payton Year 2. Elite O-line, ferocious D, favourable midseason stretch. Division crown chase is on.
(5) Kansas City Chiefs (11-6) – Tough early slate as O-line gels, but don’t count Mahomes out.
Los Angeles Chargers (9-8) – Harbaugh magic possible, but key injuries and tough schedule may cap upside.
Las Vegas Raiders (5-12) – Pete Carroll brings energy, but the talent gap remains huge.
NFC East
(1) Philadelphia Eagles (12-5) – Still elite, but history says repeat titles are rare. First-place schedule is brutal.
(7) Washington Commanders (10-7) – Jayden Daniels could be MVP-calibre… or sophomore slump. Post-bye stretch is make-or-break.
Dallas Cowboys (9-8) – Rookie HC, RB issues, Parsons contract drama. December schedule is nasty.
New York Giants (2-15) – Toughest schedule in the league. QB drama likely by midseason.
NFC North
(2) Green Bay Packers (12-5) – Continuity, talent, and a favourable early slate make them legit Super Bowl contenders.
(5) Detroit Lions (11-6) – Staff turnover could slow early momentum. Still dangerous.
Minnesota Vikings (9-8) – J.J. McCarthy finally debuts, but early gauntlet after Europe trip could stunt record.
Chicago Bears (7-10) – New coach, tough schedule. Final stretch is brutal.
NFC South
(4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-8) – Slow start possible without Tristan Wirfs, but soft finish could seal division.
Carolina Panthers (8-9) – Young offense trending up, but defense remains a concern.
Atlanta Falcons (7-10) – Penix Jr. has upside, but the early schedule could rattle him.
New Orleans Saints (2-15) – Rebuild mode. Could see roster fire sale before deadline.
NFC West
(3) San Francisco 49ers (11-6) – Easiest schedule in the league. Must stay healthy.
(6) Los Angeles Rams (11-6) – Nearly toppled the Eagles last year. Stafford’s health is key.
Arizona Cardinals (9-8) – Favourable start, but home games dry up late.
Seattle Seahawks (9-8) – New QB, new WR, more run-heavy offense. It could be another tiebreaker heartbreak.
