Premier League has officially come to OfficePools and we are so excited to be running fpl pools this year. Ahead of Friday, we are counting down our top 10 forward picks;
1. Haaland (Manchester City)
Despite what was considered an “average” season by his own standards last year, Haaland still managed to score 22 goals. He remains the focal point of a Manchester City team that consistently creates the most chances in the league. With a full pre-season under his belt and a favorable early fixture list, he is a strong contender to return to his prolific form. He’s also the primary penalty taker for his team and is likely to play the most minutes of any City attacker.
2. Mo Salah (Liverpool)
Salah is coming off a great 2024/25 campaign where he won the Golden Boot with 29 goals and also topped the assists chart with 18. This record-breaking season solidified his status as one of the most prolific attacking players in the league’s history. He is key for Liverpool and is expected to continue as their primary goal scorer and penalty taker under new manager Arne Slot. While he may miss some games due to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in early 2026, his guaranteed output when available makes him an essential pick.
3. Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)
While transfer speculation continues and he’s not training fully with Newcastle at the moment, Isak remains a strong pick. Isak was a standout performer last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 6 assists, making him the top-scoring forward in the league. If he stays at Newcastle, he will be their main man up front and a guaranteed source of goals.
4. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
Watkins has been consistent since joining Aston Villa, scoring 10+ goals in all of his Premier League seasons. He is a reliable and proven goalscorer who is nailed on to start every game. With an excellent early fixture list for Villa and the possibility of him taking penalties, he is a very appealing option, especially at a slightly lower price point than the top three.
5. Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal)
At £9 million, Gyökeres arrives at Arsenal with a good goalscoring record from his time at Sporting Lisbon. He’s a physically dominant and dynamic forward who has been given the legendary No. 14 shirt. Many believe he could be the missing piece to Arsenal’s title challenge, and his potential to take penalties for the Gunners adds to his appeal.
The Premier League is, as always, unpredictable, but if you have any of these top 5 picks in your roster, you should be in with a good chance this season.
