Week 12 Power Rankings

1 – Kansas City Chiefs (1)

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce proved once again just how good they are in Week 11 against the Chargers. Mahomes threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns, all of which were caught by his tight end in the three-point primetime win. The final drive of the game was finished with a 17-yard score with just 37 seconds remaining, moving the Chiefs to 8-2 on the season. With Mahomes in MVP form, Kansas City is the best team in the league right now and stays at the top of our Week 12 Power Rankings.

2 – Philadelphia Eagles (2)

Not every win will be pretty, but the Eagles proved they can grind them out on Sunday against Indianapolis. The Colts led all afternoon until Jalen Hurts led the offence down the field and ran in on a quarterback draw with less than 90 seconds to play. Although the Eagles weren’t as dominant as people expected following their first loss of the season in Week 10, the team still holds the best record in the NFL and a two game lead for top spot in the NFC.

3 – Dallas Cowboys (n/a)

Sunday was the best day of the year for the Cowboys, as they walked all over the 8-1 Vikings in a 40-3 beatdown in Minnesota. Even with Ezekiel Elliot back in the lineup, running back Tony Pollard was Dallas’ best player in the game, picking up over 180 total yards and scoring twice. It’s not often that a one-loss team loses by 37, and it’s for that reason that the Cowboys move to the third spot in our Week 12 Power Rankings.

4 – Buffalo Bills (4)

Despite a week full of distractions and a tough start against the Browns, Buffalo finished Week 11 with a 31-23 win in Detroit. The biggest thing to come out of the contest was the success of Buffalo’s running game. Over the last few years, the Bills have had their struggles on the ground and have relied on Josh Allen heavily. On Sunday, they handed the ball off a combined 29 times to Devin Singletary and James Cook, who each ran for 86 yards. If the Bills can run the ball consistently for the rest of the season and let Josh Allen take less of a beating himself, the team could be in a much better position by the time playoffs come around.

5 – Miami Dolphins (5)

The fifth and final spot in our Week 12 Power Rankings could have easily gone to a few other teams, but the Dolphins don’t deserve to lose the position on a bye week. With Tua leading an extremely exciting offence into Houston next Sunday, the ‘Phins are currently favorites by 13 points and will keep their lead in the AFC East with a win.

Honorable Mention – San Fransisco 49ers
