Week 13 Power Rankings

1 – Kansas City Chiefs (1)

Although the Chiefs didn’t look their best in Week 12, they still handled the L.A. Rams with ease. MVP frontrunner Patrick Mahomes threw for 320 yards and one touchdown as the team won their fifth straight game to move to 9-2 on the season and remain at the top of the AFC. With Mahomes playing the way he is and the Eagles running into some struggles recently, the Chiefs need to remain at the top in our Week 13 Power Rankings.

2 – Philadelphia Eagles (2)

The Birds grab the 2nd spot in our Week 13 Power Rankings after a primetime win against the Packers. Jalen Hurts ran all over the field in the win and the offence looked terrific, scoring 40 points and totaling 500 yards on the night. However, it wasn’t a great showing on defence, as Philly allowed more points than any other team has this season to the Packers. With Philly playing a tough Tennessee team next weekend, they’ll have to bring their best to remain the NFL’s only one loss team.

3 – Miami Dolphins (5)

This Miami offence just keeps rolling. Yes, it was against the lowly Texans but scoring 30 in a half against any NFL team is very impressive. The pass game has looked fantastic since Tua’s return from injury and the team still hasn’t lost a game that Tua has started and finished. With a five-game win streak, the Dolphins are taking a lot of momentum in what should be a great game next week against the 49ers in San Fransisco.

4 – Buffalo Bills (4)

The Bills continue to look like a different team than the one we saw at the beginning of the season. This week, they barely got by the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. It’s true that the Lions are probably better than their record suggests, but a Super Bowl contender should not be beating them with last second field goals. Josh Allen was good when he needed to be but has now thrown six touchdowns and seven interceptions in the last five weeks while going over 300 yards just once in that span.

5 – San Francisco 49ers (N/A)

With wins in their last four games, the 49ers are officially on everyone’s radar and are deserving of at least the fifth spot in our Week 13 Power Rankings. The offence didn’t dominate this week the way it did in Mexico against the Cardinals, but it didn’t have to because San Francisco’s defence completely shut out New Orleans in the 13-0 win. Depending on how they fare against Miami next week, we may have to start looking at San Francisco as potentially the best team in the NFC.
