Week 10 Power Rankings

1 – Philadelphia Eagles (2)

The Texans kept it about as close as they could on Thursday night but still fell 29-17 to the visiting Eagles. Jalen Hurts proved once again that he’s the real deal with a performance that included 21 completions on 27 attempts for 243 yards and two touchdowns. It was also nice to see that even with A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith contained, the offence got it done with Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert playing big roles. With the win and Buffalo’s loss, the Eagles are back to the top of the Week 10 Power Rankings and will hope to stay here after a bout with the Commanders next Monday night.

2 – Kansas City Chiefs (3)

Patrick Mahomes was a one-man show for the Chiefs on Sunday, throwing for 446 yards on a career-high 68 passing attempts. He also carried the ball six times for 63 yards and a touchdown in the overtime win against a feisty Titans team. The Chiefs may not have much of a running game now, but with Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman becoming increasingly large parts of the offence, they might not need much on the ground anyway. Kansas City does have some issues, but a Mahomes-led offence makes them easy to forget about.

3 – Buffalo Bills (1)

The Bills were stunned on Sunday against the Jets for their second loss of the season. Josh Allen was surprisingly human in the contest and threw two interceptions for just 205 yards. The running game continues to be a problem as well for the Bills, as Allen once again led the team in rushing yards on just nine attempts. Following the game, there was some news that Allen could be dealing with an elbow injury, but regardless, a loss like that will move them down in the Week 10 Power Rankings. Next week, they’ll look to bounce back with a statement win against the surging Minnesota Vikings.

4 – Minnesota Vikings (4)

Speaking of Minnesota, the Vikings own the fourth spot in our Week 10 Power Rankings. Even though it wasn’t pretty, good teams find ways to win games, and that’s exactly what the Vikes are doing right now. Justin Jefferson found the endzone for the first time since Week 1, and the defence held strong when it needed to as Minnesota came back to win in Washington against the Commanders. Although they sit in the top 5 for now, next week against Buffalo will be a great indicator of whether they truly belong among the best teams in the NFL.

5 – Dallas Cowboys (5)

Rounding out the Week 10 Power Rankings are the Dallas Cowboys. America’s team is 6-2 with one of the best defenses in the league. Micah Parsons continues to play at an MVP level, while Trevon Diggs remains one of the biggest secondary threats in the league. On offence, Dak and the Boys exploded against the Bears in their last game and will look to follow that performance with another like it this week against Green Bay.
