We are almost a week into the Playoffs and our sleep routine is already in the toilet. However, the battles unfolding in front of our eyes has been so exciting to watch, we couldn’t possibly be asleep knowing what’s happening on the ice. We are predicting who we think will reach the Stanley Cup Finals based off early games.
Before we continue with our way-too-early predictions, here’s where each team stands as of today;
LA Kings 2 – 0 Edmonton Oilers
Dallas Stars 2 – 1 Colorado Avalanche
Carolina Hurricanes 2 – 0 New Jersey Devils
Winnipeg Jets 2 – 0 St. Louis Blues
Washington Capitals 2 – 0 Montreal Canadiens
Toronto Maple Leafs 2 – 0 Ottawa Senators
Vegas Golden Knights 1 – 1 Minnesota Wild
Florida Panthers 1 – 0 Tampa Bay Lightning
So, who do we think is headed to the Stanley Cup Finals?
Based off this weeks games and early predictions, this is what our current bracket looks like. It was a tough decision between the Jets and Stars and honestly, if the Stars beat the Jets, they’ll win it all. We believe the Oilers will come back from 2 losses and progress to the conference championships. We also think that the Leafs will fold under the pressure of the playoffs (like they always do).
